Established in the summer of 2007, Magikon publishing house is a publishing house with a focus on visual culture and communication. The publisher publishes picture books, art books and other books related to visual subjects. Our goal is to develop book projects that combine the joy of reading and visual experiences of high quality, for both children and adults.
The name Magikon is composed of magic, which stands for something fantastic, and icon, which means image. Icon also refers to the literary theoretical concept of icon text, which is used about the interaction between words and images. The iconic text conveys the book’s ‚real‘ message.
